I found them through a friend of ours. SEI offered very reasonable pricing. I used another company for an earlier project. When I compare the two companies, SEI was just easier to work with. They were right on target. I recommend SEI to other home owners.
We had a flood and the reconstruction company recommended them. They did a great job of keeping us informed of the schedule, what they needed from us, what they were going to do. Their supplier had a faulty batch of flooring. It wasn’t anything they could have detected until they were putting it down. When they realized the problem, they ripped up the flooring, rescheduled their work, made a special delivery order and put rush on it and they met the schedule they originally gave us. We are absolutely satisfied with the service from SEI and I would recommend them to anyone.
SEI provides Bobbitt Design Build acoustical ceilings, sheet vinyl, VCT, sheet rock and carpet. Bobbitt Design Build has used SEI ever since Jerry Milton started his business-nearly 30 years ago. SEI completes 40 to 50 projects a year for us. Their strength is their responsiveness. Recently SEI replaced a ceiling for free that was installed improperly 10 years ago. They warrantied their work for 10 years. SEI is as good a sub contractor as I’ve got. I give SEI at least 50% of our ceiling and flooring work: sheet vinyl, carpet, and VCT. We have a very good long-term relationship.
SEI provides framing, sheet rock, Division 9, acoustical ceiling, flooring, VCT, ceramic tile, sound, curtains. Give them 100%.
We use SEI because of the service they offer and the relationship we’ve built with them over the last 25 years. Every company has problems, but the good quality companies like SEI solve the problems. When we call, they respond quickly.
Nearly 20 years ago there was carpet that a group of attorneys weren’t happy with due to a stain created by the manufacturer. When we called, SEI went in and fixed it. They have worked on $25,000 up fits to 110,000 square foot office buildings including, SAS and North State Bank at North Hills for John Kane. Their pricing is competitive, but if they are slightly more it is worth it to hire them because of the quality of their work.
For almost 19 years SEI has done our acoustical ceilings, carpets, floor tile, VCT ceramic tile, natural stone, light gauge metal framing, gypsum, exterior sheathing, and painting. They have become a full service interior company for us.
They do what they say they are going to do. They stand behind their work. Jerry Milton is one of the best people and best business owners you will find. A few years ago an owner accelerated the schedule on us for an interior renovation of a 30,000 SF building with 20,000 SF of office. SEI did all the ceilings, carpet and paint—everything except for the concrete. We added work for SEI and they met the accelerated schedule. That’s the kind of support we value.
SEI has been doing business with Campbell University for at least 20 years. They do a little of everything for us. Dedication, loyalty, price – these are few of the things that set SEI apart from other subcontractors we hire. If we have an emergency situation, they are here to help us out. SEI works for us because they do a good job at a good price. They go beyond expectations on every job they do for us on this campus. I have recommended them to other schools, business and GCs.
